Yael Bartana (1970, Israel) is a multimedia artist, living and working in Berlin and Amsterdam. Her works deal with the rituals of Israeli society and critique the Zionist narrative.
In her iconic video work, "Kings of the Hill", she explores initiation and naturalization ceremonies, through symbols and rituals closely related to the value system of modern Israeli society and culture.
