We live in a postmodern era which is characterized by the absence of a sense of ontological security and a lost sense of individualism.

Are individuals responsible for their acts and hence for their fate and their freedom of choice?

To what extent do society and the authorities restrict individuals, their personalities and decision making, and to what extent are their moral choices influenced by their social identity?

We live in a postmodern era which is characterized by the absence of a sense of ontological security and a lost sense of individualism, which at the same time sanctifies the values of democracy where the power to influence lies in the hands of the majority. Under these terms, the question arises as to the individual’s responsibility and possibility to create change.

Are individuals responsible for their acts and hence for their fate and their freedom of choice?

To what extent do society and the authorities restrict individuals, their personalities and decision making, and to what extent are their moral choices influenced by their social identity?

In this spirit the exhibition attempts to examine the conduct of individuals in their private and public spheres according to their consciences and in regard to their collective identity and their social, religious or national affiliations that might diminish their sense of personal responsibility towards their actions.
