Self Portrait, Israel, 2004

interactive installation

The portrait, the appearance of man's face, cannot be seen by him. He sees everything except for his face. Man must go out and become an other. The self portrait is departing one's eye sockets and disguising oneself as the other. The other that is within him, leaps forward to his consciousness, and through his otherness he is able to see himself.
